What’s your passion?

Just got to Virginia Beach with Katie to visit Sawade.  Good thing we actually got here.  Tom Tom, Katie’s wanna be direction giver tried to lure us down a dark alley and around in senseless circles because it was mad at us for speeding.  Don’t worry we outsmarted it by turning down it’s gong noise and I got mad and started cursing it.  Then we listened to Natalie Merchant’s I don’t wanna wait song  and made fun of the characters from Dawson’s creek.  “I want to know right now what will it be…Joey or the blonde one….”

On the way here we were talking about the subject of being passionate about stuff and life callings.  I made the point that when you are passionate about something, it excites you and brings the joy of the Lord that is in your life to the surface.  I thought about this and I realized that when I am pursuing a pure heart before the Lord, my passions come to life.  When purity is the farthest thing from my mind, and more so from my heart, I’ve seen that discouragement and depression set it, and I’m not excited or passionate about anything.  I can truly say that seeking the Lord for a pure heart gives me energy.  This energy fills me with passion.  And this passion fulfilled brings the joy of the Lord in my life.  What is my passion?  Ask me sometime and I’d LOVE to tell you about it…
